About the Scholarship

We would like to create a Baruch scholarship to support future Pi Alpha Alpha students/members.

We have a special opportunity this year to get our scholarship matched by Baruch College Fund President, Max W. Berger '68. If we raise $25,000 to endow a scholarship, Max will match the payout for 5 years. What does that mean?

  • When a scholarship is endowed, it lives in perpetuity (in other words, forever). Future students for generations to come will benefit from this scholarship.
  • Once we raise $25,000, the Baruch College Fund will invest the money in a fund that generates annual income of approximately 5% or $1,250.
  • $1,250 is the amount the scholarship will payout—awarded to a student. The match will double this payout for 5 years, benefiting more students.

Here is the criteria for our scholarship: The Pi Alpha Alpha-Baruch Scholarship will be available for continuing MSPIA undergraduate and graduate students who would benefit from receiving a scholarship and have completed at least 12 credits of their program. Recipients must be registered for at least 6 credits for the semester which the scholarship will be awarded and have a 3.5 overall GPA. The Scholarship must be used towards tuition, books and/or college fees.
