Dear FIRSTNAME:
How are you holding up?
This is the question I've been asking Baruch alumni around the world since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. It is also the subject of our new series, Views from Abroad, where alumni in different countries share stories of how they have been impacted by the pandemic both personally and professionally. Last month we hosted our first Views from Abroad: Israel. Next week on Wednesday, July 15, at 1 p.m. NY/ 6 p.m. UK time, three Baruch graduates will speak as part of Views from Abroad: United Kingdom. Upcoming Views from Abroad events will focus on China on July 29 and Brazil on September 9. Please save those dates!
Meanwhile, we are delighted to welcome the class of 2020 into the Baruch alumni family. We are now a network of approximately 160,000 graduates living in all 50 states and in 113 countries. LinkedIn remains our primary network connector, and we politely ask that if you receive an invitation to connect from a fellow Baruch alumnus/a, please accept and connect! You never know what might come of it. Please also join our Baruch College Alumni Network LinkedIn Group and check out our 27 Regional and Affinity LinkedIn Alumni Groups. Use them as open forums for posting articles, job listings, and other content you would like to share with your network.
Speaking of jobs, in May we launched our #HireBaruch initiative and are delighted by the number of alumni who have responded with internship, full-time/part-time and project-based job leads for current students. If you are looking for talent this summer, please #HireBaruch and fill out this form with opportunities for both graduate and undergraduate talent. If you are looking for more experienced alumni talent, please post open positions on the Baruch College Alumni Network LinkedIn Group.
Please stay safe and healthy and continue to be Baruch proud!
Have a great summer,
Janet B. Rossbach Director, Alumni Relations and Volunteer Engagement
