During his talk, Steve will reflect on the highs and lows of being a CFO in the asset management arena, and how his role and his company have changed one year into the Covid-19 pandemic.

Steve is Chief Financial Officer of State Street Global Advisors, the investment management arm of State Street Corporation and a global leader in asset management. He is also a member of the State Street Global Advisors Executive Management Group and the Finance Executive Leadership Team.

Steve joined State Street Global Advisors in December 2015 after 13 years as Global Chief Financial Officer with BNY Mellon Investment Management, where he was responsible for the financial management of the asset management boutiques, distribution and wealth management businesses. In 2002, Steve joined Mellon Financial as CFO for Mellon Institutional Asset Management and served as Chief Financial Officer for Mellon International, based in London from 2005-2007. Prior to joining Mellon Financial, Steve was with BankBoston / Fleet Bank from 1990 - 2002 serving in a variety of finance and operations positions. From 1999 - 2002, he was the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer for the European businesses of Fleet Bank based in London.

Steve holds a B.A. in political science from State University of New York at Buffalo and an M.B.A. in finance from City University of New York at Baruch College. Steve is the treasurer and a member of the Board of Directors for Victory Programs and a former Board Director for Boston Healthcare for the Homeless Program (BHCHP).
