Join us for a virtual gathering of alumni living and working in the DC area for the Baruch Alumni in DC Speaker Series.
Our speaker will be Sean Perryman ('08), the President of the Fairfax County NAACP - the youngest-ever president in the chapter's 102-year history. In this position, he has led efforts to address the school-to-prison pipeline, to get emergency loans to Black- and brown-owned small businesses during the pandemic, and to change the name of Robert E. Lee High School to John Lewis High School. He previously worked as an attorney and in Congressman Elijah Cummings' office as an investigator in the House Oversight Committee.
Sean currently works at the Internet Association as Director of Social Impact Policy & Counsel and is a candidate for Lieutenant Governor of Virginia. Sean will discuss his experience as a first-time, progressive candidate for office in the former capital of the Confederacy. We look forward to seeing you!
