has been with Phaidon International for nine years, starting in London, and then helping to set up Phaidon's first office in North America - in New York City. Holding various roles within recruitment Jack has progressed through the ranks to now lead the North American Key Account Management and Business Development teams, as well as being responsible for all commercial partnerships.

Jack has an MBA from London School of Economics, a Masters in Corporate Strategy & Governance from Nottingham University Business School, and an Undergraduate degree in Geography, Business & The Environment from the University of Nottingham.

 

Kareem Bakr 
Executive Director at Selby Jennings, New York office lead 

Kareem Bakr has been with Selby Jennings since 2013 as one of the original members of the brand when it first made its debut in the States. Originally starting out as a recruiter focused on the Risk Management space, Kareem was able to quickly transition into a key leader within the wider business. Today, Kareem leads the Selby Jennings business and New York office where he is responsible for the continuous growth of the brand.

Having helped scale SJ to now more than 140 consultants in NYC and 200+ across the U.S., Kareem is dedicated to ensuring that Selby Jennings continues to be ranked as a top institution within the world of financial recruitment. He and his team have impacted the lives of over 750 candidates in the past 12 months and work with some of the most prestigious financial institutions in the world, ranging from Tier one Investment Banks to multi- billion dollar hedge funds.

 

 Jamie Costello
 VP Client Services & Business Development at Phaidon International 

In her role as VP Client Services & Business Development for the Americas, Jamie Costello is accountable for key account management, business development and overall client experience for 3 of the Phaidon International brands with a focus on the Financial Services Sector.

After attending Sacred Heart University and graduating with a double major in Marketing & Management, Jamie joined Selby Jennings in 2017. Jamie has over 3 years of recruitment experience. She began her career as the first member of the Life & Annuities vertical within the Insurance recruitment team. Jamie built this team from the ground up and was promoted twice in 2 years. She placed over 22 candidates and was promoted to Principal Consultant and the Head of the Life & Annuities team at Selby Jennings.

Given Jamie’s strength in building a portfolio of strong client relationships, she joined Phaidon International’s Financial Services Key Account Management team in 2019. She currently individually manages a portfolio of 12 of the company’s largest financial services and insurance accounts.

 

Chris Schwuchow, AVP within the Quantitative Research and Trading team at Selby  Jennings

Chris Schwuchow is an AVP at Selby Jennings, a micro-specialized financial services recruitment firm operating under the umbrella company Phaidon International. In his role as an AVP at Selby Jennings, Chris helps lead a New York based quant recruitment team that is responsible for providing recruitment services to top quantitative trading firms and investment banks across North America.

Chris regularly partners with top ranked universities and gives presentations around career advice to future quant analytics professionals in Masters and PhD graduate programs at NYU, and Columbia, to name a couple of them. Since joining the business 5 years ago, Chris has been instrumental in building out partnerships with quant trading institutions, particularly systematic hedge funds, proprietary trading and cryptocurrency trading firms. He is also a senior member of the Quants USA Leadership Committee at Selby Jennings and acts as an account manager for a number of Selby Jennings’ largest clients across the quantitative research and trading.
