About: In 2020, CUNY appointed its first college president of Asian heritage, S. David Wu of Baruch College. Baruch also virtually launched a new alumni affinity group on June 23, 2020, the Baruch Asian Heritage Alumni Network (BAHAN). WIth nearly 40% of our student body being of Asian Heritage, a trend we have seen for much of the last decade, this is a growing network of alumni across industries and interests.

CFO Network

About: Provides CFO-level alumni an opportunity to reconnect with the College and with each other through the online alumni community. The network was formed in response to requests from alumni serving as senior financial management professionals in companies throughout the United States and internationally for a means to reconnect with each other and with Baruch College.

Mission: The CFO Network will establish a strong alumni community of graduates who serve in senior financial positions in companies globally as a platform for idea exchange, knowledge transfer and networking.

Objectives:

To provide a means by which CFO-level alumni can stay informed about relevant College programs and activities
To support alumni in achieving professional development goals by providing access to practical and career-enhancing information (e.g. Baruch's Annual Financial Reporting Conference)
To establish an online network whereby there can be an exchange of knowledge and experince among alumni, faculty, and the greater international business community
To provide increased face-to-face alumni interaction and encourage collaborations

About: Linking nearly 1,000 alumni who have graduated from Baruch's nationally recognized Executive MBA in Healthcare Administration Program over the past 50 years. The Healthcare MBA alumni group seeks to engage and support alumni in the healthcare industry and keep alumni informed about the program and its faculty.

International Business Alumni

Mission: An association of graduates of Baruch who have a professional interest in international business. Members either majored in some aspect of international business, are engaged in international business, or live and work outside the United States.

Objectives:

to provide a setting in which Baruch's international business alumni as well as current students can engage in employment and career-related networking;
to create a resource support system through which participants can exchange knowledge and experience about conducting business in different countries and situations;
to encourage social interactions and networking opportunities among alumni who share a commitment to both Baruch College and international business;
to sustain and contribute to Baruch's tradition of academic excellence in the belief that reinforcing Baruch's resources and core values enhances its graduates' competence, reputation, and marketability.

About: Are you a Baruch alum who identifies as LGBTQIA+? Are you an ally and advocate of the LGBTQ community? MFE Alumni

Real Estate Alumni Club

About: Launched in Spring 2011 to create, maintain and support a community of Real Estate Alumni of Baruch College and Newman Real Estate Institute. Events are geared towards providing a channel for outgoing students and alumni to connect, network, advocate and share ideas and opportunities freely and openly among each other and with the real estate community at large.

Its first event was held at the landmarked Empire State Building, where Time Equities CEO Francis Greenburger '74 told the crowd how he got his start in the business to become one of the city's real estate magnates.

Alumni Networks for Student Groups

Alpha Phi Omega

About: Alpha Phi Omega, Gamma Delta chapter was founded at Baruch in 1939, by Jerry Hayflich (’40 and Mike Apfel ’40, and was an active chapter on campus until 1966. Hundreds of brothers remain connected to this day through an annual reunion in October. In 2005 the brothers became the first to establish a scholarship, which is awarded annually. In 2008, they endowed the scholarship and have raised over $500,000 in support of Baruch students.

Carolan Guard

About: Founded in the late 1950s, the Carolan Guard was a fraternity located at Baruch College, then known as CCNY. The fraternity consisted of students who participated in CCNY's active ROTC programs. The eponymous CCNY and ROTC graduate, John Carolan, served as 2nd Lieutenant during the Korean War. This group commemorates the Carolan Guard's 20 year history and is dedicated to reconnecting the alumni who were brought together because of it.

Sigma Alpha Delta Alumni

About: We are the oldest and most accomplished Honor Society at Baruch College, having meaningfully served the college and the community for more than 80 years. Our society is exclusive to Baruch and is not part of a national organization. As such, our current and former members have a very close relationship with this organization. The society is run by students who want to make a difference in the community and improve the quality of life at our college. Concurrently, they make lasting friendships with fellow honor students and develop essential leadership skills.

Theatron

About: The College’s drama club and longest-running student organization on campus, Theatron touched the lives of generations of students and remains one of the core experiences of a Baruch College/City College Downtown student experience. As Theatronite alumnus Larry Levy (’55) explains, “Our campus was the Pauline Edwards Theatre,” and “our involvement in Theatron transformed Baruch...into a true college experience.”

The Ticker

About: Since 1932, Baruch College students have turned to their student newspaper, The Ticker, for breaking campus news, sports coverage, feature stories, art reviews, science and technology information, the latest business news, absorbing editorials, lively cartoons, and promotions for upcoming campus activities and events. In 2022, The Ticker celebrated its 90th year in continuous production! Alumni include Pulitzer Prize-finalists, major media journalists, and successful entrepreneurs.
