Message from the Director of Alumni Relations

February 2020

Dear alumni:

Happy Valentine’s Day! We love love in the Office of Alumni Relations and Volunteer Engagement, and we invite you to share with us what you love about Baruch on our Facebook page. Here is a link to our “I Love Baruch” video from last year which might inspire your post. And if you met your significant other at Baruch, please also let us know in the comments (we love Baruch couples).

Today also marks the launch of our 100 Days Initiative, a celebration of the final 100 days leading up to commencement, as our graduating students get ready to become alumni. We host a number of events and share lots of information with students about how to prepare for life after graduation and become active alumni. One of my favorite events is our Cap Decorating Party - the results of which you can see here.

Speaking of graduating, if you graduated within the past 20 years and did not pick up your diploma, we invite you to our Diploma Pick-Up Night on Thursday, February 20 from 5pm - 7 pm at the Registrar’s Office, 151 East 25th Street, 8th Floor. The office has cabinets full of diplomas and we would love for you to receive yours if you have not already.

I am very excited to be traveling this month to host alumni gatherings in Los Angeles (February 19), San Francisco (February 20), and Phoenix (February 22). With over 1,100+ alumni in LA, 1,000 alumni in the Bay Area, and 240+ in Phoenix, we are keen to develop more active alumni networks in each area. We are also excited to launch a new network in Toronto on March 25, where nearly 200 alumni live and work.

Closer to home, we invite you to a very special evening on Wednesday, March 11 - Korea @ Baruch: Connecting To The World’s Marketplace. This sixth in our series of global economic symposia will feature a panel of experts discussing Korea's impact on the global economy. The evening is free to attend and includes an authentic Korean networking dinner as well. Please RSVP today as space is limited!

I look forward to seeing you soon – whether on the road or on campus – and wish you again a very lovely Valentine’s Day!

Most sincerely,

Janet Rossbach
